Farmers’ Market @ Yio Chu Kang Community Day 2018
Description:
Organised together with the Yio Chu Kang Citizens’ Consultative Committee, this event was hosted to celebrate the district’s Community Day. Graced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, 15 farms showcased their produce and the first 200 visitors who made purchases from any 2 stalls were rewarded with a free lunch box, courtesy of AVA.
SG Famers’ Market @ Hillion Mall
Description:
Co-organised with AVA, this event was graced by Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West District & MP for Bukit Panjang Constituency, and brought together more than 20 of Singapore’s food farmers. Around 8,000 visitors turned up over 2 days, many of whom took the opportunity to stock up on fresh produce, jot down useful tips shared by celebrity chefs, and participate in the activities.

Description:
One in a series of many events, this Farmers’ Market was a joint-effort by SAFEF and AVA that saw the participation of 8 local farmers and a turnout of more than 4,000 people, making it a day filled with food sampling, sale of fresh local produce, and games for families.
